A colorful light blue version of Granny's Nightcap. This is one of the earliest blooming flowers in the spring in the Hill Country of Texas. What looks like petals are actually sepals. The real flower is the center portion that sticks out in the shape of a little bee hive. This flower is in the Buttercup Family and is a perennial.
