A nest box for Wood Ducks. This nest box is specially designed to meet the needs of Wood Ducks. Annually old bedding of wood chips are removed and new bedding is added. Hardware cloth stapled to the inside provides a ladder for the little woodies as they leave the box. Female Wood Ducks lay up to a dozen eggs. More than one female may lay eggs in a nest. The babies leap out and fall to land or water when only days old. The female leads them to water.
