EARTH Persian Gulf -- 13 Dec 2003 -- Dust storm blows large quantities of dust out over the Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea. In this true-color scene, acquired by the Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor (SeaWiFS), the dust storm (light brown pixels) can be seen extending from the the Arabian Peninsula (left) eastward over the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman toward the Arabian Sea.
